Terms and Conditions of Use
Last updated: September 16, 2026
1. Purpose and acceptance
These Terms and Conditions of Use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of sincrona, a digital service intended to facilitate the management and tracking of bicycle maintenance.
The service is available through:
sincrona.ccapp.sincrona.ccauth.sincrona.ccapi.sincrona.cc
Access to and use of sincrona implies acceptance of these Terms.
In the case of workshops, the Terms are accepted when creating an account and starting to use the service.
In the case of cyclists, the account is created through an invitation sent by a workshop. The cyclist must expressly accept the invitation and these Terms before accessing the service. Acceptance by the workshop does not imply acceptance of these Terms on behalf of the cyclist.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
- sincrona: the technological service provided through the domains indicated above.
- Workshop: person or entity using sincrona to manage information related to its customers, bicycles, and maintenance services.
- Cyclist: natural person using sincrona in connection with a workshop that has sent them an invitation.
- User: either a Workshop or a Cyclist.
- Relationship: the link in sincrona between a Cyclist and a Workshop.
- Activity application: external service used by the Cyclist to record sports activities and that may integrate with sincrona.
- User Content: information provided, entered, synchronized, or authorized by the User for use within the service.
3. Description of the service
sincrona provides tools to facilitate the management and tracking of bicycle maintenance.
Among other features, the service may allow users to:
- register and view bicycles;
- import information from activity applications;
- calculate accumulated component wear;
- set maintenance intervals;
- generate maintenance-related notifications;
- record services performed by workshops;
- facilitate access to maintenance history.
The available features may vary over time.
4. Users and accounts
4.1. Workshops
Any person who meets the applicable technical and legal requirements may create a Workshop account.
Registration requires providing sufficient information to operate the service, including at least:
- the name by which the workshop is known;
- a contact email address;
- a telephone number, including the international dialing code.
The name used to identify the workshop does not necessarily have to match a registered business name or legal name.
The User undertakes to provide truthful, up-to-date, and sufficient information for use of the service.
Initially, sincrona may provide a single shared account per workshop. sincrona may later introduce different accounts, users, roles, or permissions for the same workshop.
4.2. Cyclists
Cyclists cannot register directly with sincrona.
Their account is created as a result of an invitation sent by a Workshop. The Cyclist must expressly accept the invitation and these Terms before using their account.
Each Cyclist will initially have a single account.
4.3. Minimum age
sincrona is intended exclusively for persons over 18 years of age.
By using the service, the User declares that they meet this requirement.
4.4. Account security
The User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials and for preventing unauthorized access to their account.
The User must notify sincrona of any unauthorized access or security incident that may affect their account.
5. Relationship between Workshop and Cyclist
The relationship between a Workshop and a Cyclist is an essential part of how sincrona works.
A Workshop may only access a Cyclist's information when the Cyclist has received and expressly accepted an invitation.
Once the invitation has been accepted, the Workshop may access, depending on the features available at the time, information related to the Cyclist, including:
- contact information;
- associated bicycles;
- information synchronized from activity applications;
- wear-related information;
- maintenance history;
- services performed by the Workshop itself.
The Cyclist may revoke the Workshop's access to their information at any time.
When this authorization is revoked, the Workshop will no longer have access to the Cyclist's information associated with that relationship.
Revoking access does not necessarily imply deleting the Cyclist's account or the technical information associated with it.
If a Cyclist wishes to start a relationship with another Workshop, the new Workshop must initiate the process through a new invitation.
6. Features available to Cyclists
The Cyclist may modify certain personal data and communication preferences, including, depending on the available features:
- name;
- email address;
- phone number;
- communication preferences and channels.
They may also view information related to their bicycles, synchronized activities, wear, maintenance history, and Workshop.
Except for their personal data and preferences, the Cyclist will primarily have read-only access to the information displayed in sincrona.
Changes made by the Cyclist in external activity applications may later be synchronized with sincrona.
7. Integrations with third-party services
sincrona may integrate with third-party services to import or synchronize information related to the User's sports activity.
The operation of these integrations also depends on the corresponding external services.
sincrona does not control the availability, accuracy, integrity, or operation of such services and may be affected by their changes, interruptions, or limitations.
8. Maintenance information, calculations, and estimates
The information and calculations provided by sincrona are for guidance only.
sincrona does not guarantee that a bicycle, component, or part will function for a given period of time or that a failure or breakdown will be avoided.
The useful life of a component may be affected by numerous factors, including:
- weather conditions;
- humidity and corrosion;
- impacts or accidents;
- how the component is used;
- contamination or spills;
- incorrect adjustments;
- inadequate maintenance;
- manufacturing defects;
- other factors beyond sincrona's control.
The maintenance intervals used by sincrona are determined by the Workshop. sincrona uses those intervals to perform calculations and generate alerts.
sincrona does not provide professional mechanical advice and does not determine whether a bicycle is safe to ride.
The information provided by the service does not replace the inspection of a bicycle by a professional, the manufacturer's instructions, or the checks that should be carried out before using it.
9. User Content and rights over information
The User retains any rights they may have over the information they provide, generate, or authorize for use in sincrona.
The User grants sincrona only the rights necessary to store, process, reproduce, synchronize, and use such information to the extent necessary to provide, maintain, protect, and improve the service, in accordance with these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
sincrona retains any rights it may have over its own technology, including, among others:
- software;
- algorithms;
- models and calculations;
- synchronization systems;
- integrations;
- interfaces;
- designs;
- documentation;
- databases, where rights may exist over them;
- trademarks and identifying elements.
Nothing in these Terms implies a transfer to the User of any rights over sincrona's technology.
10. Acceptable use
The User undertakes to use sincrona lawfully and in accordance with these Terms.
It is prohibited to use the service to:
- carry out illegal activities;
- infringe third-party rights;
- impersonate another person or entity;
- access accounts, systems, or information without authorization;
- introduce malware or other malicious code;
- interfere with the operation of the service;
- carry out denial-of-service attacks or equivalent activities;
- perform unauthorized scraping or automated extraction;
- use abusive automations;
- circumvent security measures or access controls;
- reverse engineer the service unless permitted by applicable law;
- use the internal API without authorization;
- send spam or unsolicited communications;
- provide information that the User has no right to provide;
- use the service in any other way that may cause harm to sincrona, other Users, or third parties.
sincrona may adopt the necessary measures to prevent, investigate, or stop these kinds of uses.
11. API and technical access
The address api.sincrona.cc currently corresponds to an internal API used by the application and other sincrona components.
It does not constitute a public API and does not grant the User any right of access, integration, or automation over its endpoints, unless expressly authorized by sincrona.
12. Availability and evolution of the service
sincrona seeks to keep the service available, but does not guarantee permanent or uninterrupted availability.
The service may be temporarily interrupted due to:
- maintenance;
- updates;
- technical problems;
- infrastructure incidents;
- issues affecting external providers;
- security incidents;
- force majeure events;
- other circumstances beyond sincrona's reasonable control.
sincrona may modify, expand, reduce, replace, or remove service features.
When a change constitutes a substantial modification of the conditions applicable to the User, sincrona may communicate it with reasonable prior notice and, when necessary, request renewed acceptance.
13. Free service and future paid services
sincrona is currently provided free of charge.
sincrona may in the future offer plans, features, or services subject to payment.
Before any paid service is purchased, the corresponding information will be provided to the User, including, where applicable:
- price;
- taxes;
- billing frequency;
- renewal conditions;
- cancellation conditions;
- refund conditions;
- any other relevant conditions for the purchase.
The fact that the service is currently free does not imply that all future features must remain free.
The introduction of paid services will not automatically turn an existing use into a paid service without the relevant conditions having been communicated and accepted when necessary.
14. Suspension and termination of accounts
sincrona may temporarily suspend or limit an account when reasonably necessary to:
- protect the security of the service;
- investigate possible misuse;
- prevent unauthorized access;
- investigate fraud or fraudulent behavior;
- comply with legal obligations;
- avoid harm to other Users or third parties;
- prevent attacks or interference with the service;
- enforce these Terms.
Where possible and unless prevented by security, legal, or technical reasons, sincrona may inform the User of the measure adopted and its reasons.
The User may stop using the service at any time.
15. Account deletion and retention of information
The Cyclist may request the deletion of their account at any time.
When an account is deleted, sincrona will delete the personal data that identifies the User and that is managed as part of their identity account.
Identity and access credentials are managed through the authentication system used by sincrona. This system is currently Auth0.
Deleting the account implies deleting the corresponding identity from that authentication system.
Deleting the account does not necessarily imply deleting all technical or operational information generated during the use of sincrona.
sincrona may retain information relating to:
- bicycles;
- maintenance services;
- technical history;
- notifications;
- calculations;
- wear;
- other operational service information;
provided that such information has been dissociated from the User's personal data and is kept in a way that does not allow the User to be identified.
This information may remain associated only with random technical identifiers and be used to maintain the integrity and operation of the systems, preserve technical histories and statistics, perform aggregated calculations, or provide other legitimate service functionalities.
The retention of this information will be subject to the conditions and safeguards described in the Privacy Policy and to applicable law.
Revoking the authorization granted to a Workshop is not equivalent to deleting the account.
16. Discontinuation of the service
sincrona may decide to stop providing the service in whole or in part.
Where reasonably possible, sincrona will inform Users sufficiently in advance.
Depending on the circumstances, sincrona may provide mechanisms to export certain information before discontinuation.
Once the service ends, the information will be deleted, anonymized, or retained only in the cases and for the periods permitted or required by applicable law.
17. Liability
sincrona provides a technological tool intended to facilitate the management and tracking of bicycle maintenance.
sincrona does not guarantee:
- the absolute accuracy of calculations or estimates;
- the useful life of any component;
- that a component will not suffer a breakdown;
- that information coming from third parties is complete or correct;
- that the information is suitable for a specific situation;
- that the service will be permanently available;
- that the service will be error-free.
Inspection, maintenance, repair, and determining whether a bicycle is safe are the responsibility of the User and, where applicable, the Workshop or professional carrying out those tasks.
sincrona does not replace the professional judgment of a mechanic or the manufacturer's instructions or recommendations.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liabilities that cannot be legally excluded or limited.
18. Changes to these Terms
sincrona may modify these Terms to reflect changes in the service, applicable law, operating practices, or for other legitimate reasons.
When changes are relevant, sincrona may communicate them through the service, email, or other appropriate means.
Continued use of the service after the new Terms come into force may be subject to them where permitted by applicable law.
When it is legally necessary to obtain renewed acceptance, sincrona will request it before continuing to provide the corresponding service.
19. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms will be governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to any mandatory rules that may apply depending on the User's status and place of residence.
sincrona and the User will seek in good faith to resolve any dispute related to the service.
When it is not possible to reach an amicable solution, the competent courts under applicable law will have jurisdiction.
